Greek Revival/Traditional, 1848
On Jefferson Avenue, a stone’s throw from downtown Detroit and just across the street from Albert Kahn’s famous, The Palms, historic apartments, sits the prettiest little example of Greek Revival architecture you could ever hope to see.
The house is now owned by Christ Church and serves as its rectory.
I took this picture today with my brand spankin’ new camera, a Canon DSLR, and the fist SLR I’ve owned since before the world went digital. Overcast and dreary though the day was, I was on a wonderful urban architectural photo safari!
With any luck, at a later date the good folks at Christ Church will allow me to photograph the moldings inside this beautiful historic home. And when they do, you can be assured I’ll post the pictures here for you to enjoy.
Until then!
